Description:

  • The Director of Middleton Operations is responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of the Middleton facility, focusing on day-to-day efficiency and long-term effectiveness. Key functions include assembly, warehousing, and project management. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role requires a hands-on approach to ensure high performance across all facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Recruit, hire, and train departmental managers, fostering a productive and collaborative team environment.
  • Conduct timely performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Handle disciplinary actions and terminations in accordance with company policies to maintain team alignment and performance standards.
  • Operational Management:

  • Oversee all operations within the Middleton, MA facility, including assembly, manufacturing, warehousing, and the Projects division of customer service.
  • Set quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards to evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness, identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and refine business processes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaboration & Communication:

  • Serve as a liaison between the Middleton facility and the executive team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on strategic objectives and operational needs.
  • Develop and maintain open communication channels with Middleton employees through regular meetings to foster engagement and morale.
  • Translate new policies or directives into actionable tasks for Middleton employees, ensuring smooth transitions and understanding.
  • Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure work environments are safe, compliant, and conducive to productive operations.
  • Financial Management

  • Develop, monitor, and manage budgets and forecasts for all departments within the Middleton facility, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
  • Customer Satisfaction:

  • Drive improvements in customer service and satisfaction through policy adjustments and procedural enhancements.
  • Lead the integration of operations with engineering, sales, and customer service teams to streamline workflows and enhance cost-effectiveness.
  • Support and Service Management:

  • Determine best path for internal team support (MSP vs Direct).
  • Qualifications:

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:

  • At least 7-10 years in an operational role with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Skills:

  • Proven leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing regulations and operational guidelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Description:

    • The Engineering Associate will support both the Product Management, Sales Engineering and Quality Teams. The Engineering Associate is responsible for managing several important engineering processes to ensure they are completed effectively. They have responsibility and ownership for the department work in the ERP system as well as making sure the product information is complete and up to date. This person will also work with others to ensure the issues are resolved and implemented that are needed for improvements. The Engineering Associate will report directly to the Senior Sales Engineer.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Product Management, Sales Engineering, and Quality Teams.
  • Manage part numbers into the ERP system.
  • Manage Bills of Materials in the ERP system.
  • Manage the product information database and product information files.
  • Assist with creation of assembly and work instructions.
  • Review technical support tickets and respond or assign as appropriate.
  • Meet weekly with production, quality and engineering to review production schedule and ensure all documentation is in place.
  • Assist with showroom products and training.
  • Minimum Requirement:

  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
  • Strong Project Management Skills.
  • Basic understanding of ERP systems, bills of materials, quality, and products.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Desired Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Lighting, Electrical, Distribution Sales or related field.
  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field preferred.
  • Associate degree or High School Diploma (or GED) with work experience acceptable.
